# Importing worlds to a server

## Importing worlds to a server

### Making it the only world

Make sure to execute the following steps while the server is off.

1. Delete the previous and default world folder.
2. Unzip the file and drop its folder into the server's folder, be it local or through a FTP or SFTP server.
3. Rename the imported folder to world.

### Adding worlds to a server

To completely follow the steps, you will need a third-party plugin: [Multiverse-Core](https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/multiverse-core).

1. Unzip the file and drop its folder into the server's folder, be it local or through a FTP or SFTP server.
2. Type the following command on a console or inside minecraft: /mv import \<world\_name> normal
3. To list the worlds available, use: /mv list
4. To teleport to the newly imported world, use: /mv tp \<world\_name>

# Importing worlds to singleplayer minecraft

1. Open minecraft's directory; the default minecraft directory is **%appdata%/.minecraft**
2. Unzip the file and drop its folder into the folder named **saves** located in the minecraft's directory.
3. Open the Minecraft and search for the world in the Single player section.

# Importing a schematic to a server

Despite that the steps to import a schematic are the same, there are 2 possibles alternatives to get it done:

* [WordEdit ](https://wiki.soltionstudios.com/helping/installing-worldedit-mod)plugin \[not recommeded]
* [FAWE ](https://wiki.soltionstudios.com/helping/installing-fawe-fastasyncworldedit)(FastAsyncWorldEdit) plugin

1. In the folder plugins of your server's directory, find the folder WorldDdit/FastAsyncWorldEdit.
2. Inside that folder, there should be another folder named schematics.
3. Move all the schematics that must be loaded into minecraft to that folder.
4. In minecraft, make sure the schematics were successfully loaded with the following command: ***//schematic list*** *(WorldEdit)* or ***//schematic list mine*** *(FAWE)*
5. Now you must load the schematic: ***//schematic load \<schematic\_name>***
6. Finally, to paste the loaded schematic, use: ***//paste*** or ***//paste -a*** for ignoring the air blocks (most efficient).

# Importing schematics to singleplayer minecraft

WorldEdit mod will be needed

1. Open the installation path of your minecraft, by default it is located at ***%appdata%/.minecraft***
2. Inside that folder, there should be another folder named ***WorldEdit***, there you should find another folder respective to the ***schematics***.
3. Move all the schematics that must be loaded into minecraft to that folder.
4. In minecraft, make sure the schematics were successfully loaded with the following command: ***//schematic list***
5. Now you must load the schematic: ***//schematic load \<schematic\_name>***
6. Finally, to paste the loaded schematic, use: ***//paste*** or ***//paste -a*** for ignoring the air blocks (most efficient).

# Installing FAWE (FastAsyncWorldEdit)

Make sure to execute the following steps while the server is off.

1. Make sure to delete WorldEdit from the plugins folder before installing FAWE, since they are mutually exclusive.
2. You can find the files you need on this [webpage](https://intellectualsites.github.io/download/fawe.html).
3. Make sure to download the files that correspond to your minecraft server's version
4. Move the .jar file downloaded into the folder plugins of your server.
5. Start the server; the plugin should loaded and be working normally.

# Installing WorldEdit mod

1. You can find the download link in this [website](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/worldedit). Make sure to download the right version.
2. Put the WorldEdit file in the folder mods located in the minecraft directory.
3. Download the [forge ](https://files.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/)intaller for the respective WorldEdit version dowloaded.
4. Open the forge and make the installation; after that, there should be a new minecraft version created.

# Installing Multiverse-Core

Make sure to execute the following steps while the server is off.

1. You can find the files you need on this [webpage](https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/multiverse-core).
2. Make sure to download the files that correspond to your minecraft server's version
3. Move the .jar file downloaded into the folder plugins of your server.
4. Start the server; the plugin should loaded and be working normally.

# Missing blocks

Sometimes conflits generated by changing the version of minecraft cause blocks to disappear, since older versions have less block variety. Luckly, it can be easily fixed.

* Make sure the server/minecraft version is the same or higher than the version informed in the section of the map.
* In case the problems persist, feel free to send us a ticket describing the problem and, if possible, attaching some screenshots and you will be promptly helped.

# Defining spawn

## Singleplayer

You can use the command /setworldspawnpoint to set the spawn point at the location of command issuer.

## Minecraft server

Every server has its different plugins, so it would different steps to conclude the process. You can check the step-by-step of the most common plugins down below.

### Essentials -> */setspawn*

# Blocks falling

Certain blocks are not being able to stand on the air

* Make sure to disable the gravity of the region in case of the map contains blocks that are responsive to gravity, so they dont fall. You can use a WorldGuard flag to disable gravity with the command: /rg flag \<region\_name> gravity deny
* In case the problems persist, feel free to send us a ticket describing the problem and, if possible, attaching some screenshots and you will be promptly helped.

# Blocks breaking spontaneously

Blocks, such as carpets, flowes, trapdoors, ladders etc. are not supported to stand on the air by default.

* Try using the following command: /gamerule randomTickSpeed 0

On servers, it is possible to change game rules through the console; on single player, make sure to apply the game rule beforing loading the world.

You can also use the following commands in sequence:

1. //perf and then
2. /paper fixlight to make the lights work normally again

# Server crashing when loading schematic

* If you are using WorldEdit, consider switching to FAWE (FastAsyncWorldEdit), since FAWE is way more optimized. There is a section above entitled [Installing FAWE](https://wiki.soltionstudios.com/helping/installing-fawe-fastasyncworldedit) where the process of the instalation is described step by step. Otherwise, consider allocating more resources to your minecraft/server, such as RAM or cpu cores.
* In case the problems persist, feel free to send us a ticket describing the problem and, if possible, attaching some screenshots and you will be promptly helped.
